ECHR Virtual Conference 2020 Abstract Guidelines

Submission Deadline: Friday, November 13th.

We invite early career researchers to submit an abstract to present novel research in the field of hallucinations. We define early career researchers loosely as those completing postgraduate studies or having completed them within the past 10 years. We also invite submissions from honours and Masters students. We welcome abstracts for oral or poster presentations from a broad range of fields relevant to hallucinations, hearing voices, and unusual sensory experiences.

Abstract Guidelines: 

Title: 20 words or fewer. 
Author(s) details (name and affiliation): First name(s) followed by surname(s); Institution of affiliation, country. 

Abstracts must be presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

The body of the text should be no longer than 250 words and include: 
Background: State the primary objectives of the study, including the main research questions, hypothesis and theory being tested. 
Methods: Quantitative studies should include design, participants (including the number of participants), measures and analysis; qualitative studies should include design, participants, methods of data collection and analysis, e.g. thematic analysis, discourse analysis, interpretative phenomenological analysis. 
Findings: Quantitative studies should include a summary of the results, and qualitative studies should include a description of the main , such as the themes or categories generated.
Discussion: Conclusions and/or some discussion of the possible contribution to, or implications for, the domain of hallucination research.

Please note the following requirements:

The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of and have agreed to the contents of the abstract prior to submission. The presenting author (or representative) must also register for the conference and commit to attend.

The presenting/corresponding author’s details must be provided, including full name, institutional affiliation(s), email address and contact number. Co-authors’ full names and institutional affiliation(s) must also be listed.

Submission represents your acknowledgement for the abstract to be printed on the website, conference program and any other promotional material.
